Based in Melbourne, Australia, The Wilderness Collective are run by musicians and creative producers Marcus Skinner and Jim Walter. Both have written award winning soundtracks for international and local clients such as SBS, ABC, Radio Australia, Discovery Channel, Royal Elastics, 21-19, Museo d'arte, Crown Metropol, Onedotzero Festival and Sony.

Jim Walter is a sound designer, musician, producer and sound engineer. He has performed many professional roles as a studio and production manager at PBS 106.7 FM, the Prince Bandroom, Red Bull Music Academy, Federation Square, Queenscliff Music Festival, Apollo Bay Music Festival as well as most major venues in Melbourne.

Jim has worked with numerous international and local acts including De La Soul, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Arrested Development, The Dirtbombs, Will Oldham, Hilltop Hoods, Youth Group, Tim Finn, You Am I, The Drones and Tex Perkins. Through blending creativity with technology Jim's work transgresses the boundaries of music, sound and art.

Marcus Skinner is an Australian musician and producer. Drawing upon his long-standing interest in the exploration of minimalist and avant garde forms, multi-instrumentalist Marcus Skinner conjures modern pieces of music. Both flexible and genre jumping, Marcus Skinner has held such roles as studio manager, audio producer, sound engineer, songwriter and band booker. He continues to write, perform & tour live in various forms.
